Scottie Chapman - Managing Director
SLC Ocean is led by Scottie Chapman. Scottie has a track record of conceptualising and delivering consumer-led blue-ocean industry initiatives in New Zealand, pursuing niche high-value plays to engaged consumers.
Its success is built on building innovative business models, identifying key partners, and coordinating broad ecosystems of service providers and asset holders around them to deliver sales through extensive sales networks into high-value markets across Asia.
Scottie’s most recent success - Spring Sheep Milk co. is an example of this. Spring Sheep was started with a clear aim to do better dairy and, to provide a tastier, gentler and more nutritious alternative to goat or cow’s milk.
Nick Hammond - Director
Nick is a co-founder and Director of SLC Ocean. Like Scottie, Nick knows we need to change the way we feed the planet, and this is an important step on that journey.
Together he and Scottie have already worked to build the largest sheep dairy operation in the Southern Hemisphere, Spring Sheep Milk Co. which Nick now heads as CEO. He has a proven business acumen for propelling start-ups to high growth businesses.
Nick is qualified in NZ as both a Chartered Accountant and Lawyer, and has been recognised on the national stage for his innovation.
Te Aroha Grace -
Director
Te Aroha is Chief Relationship Officer of Figure Group, a new business creating educational platform Huatau, helping people grow the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to best navigate this world together.
Previously, Te Aroha managed the largest team in his Tribal Office of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, including the development of augmented apps telling Māori stories as a solution to the self love problems his people are experiencing.
